    Sales Account Executive

    Our specialty is providing logistics solutions that are customized to our customer’s needs. We offer innovative, cost effective solutions for both domestic and international freight forwarding utilizing, air and ocean, as well as providing an outstanding program of supply chain services.

     

    Our customer service employees are the front-line of our organization. Our customer depend on our customer service team to solve problems and answer their questions in a timely fashion. As a customer service person at AGS, you will be a key part of our team.

     

    Responsibilities of Sales account Executive:

    • Responsible for monthly sales quota.
    • Receives inbound and makes outbound telephone sales calls to targeted new clients and existing assigned accounts.
    • Prospects key target clients for annual contracts.
    • Responsible for responding to requests for proposals.
    • Assist in development and negotiation of contracts.
    • Spends majority of time outside the sales office.
    • Meets with clients face-to-face on a daily basis.
    • Responsible for working with Sales Manager and National Account Managers to identify parent companies for sales development through market development/sales calls and outside sales presentations.
    • Responsible for giving guidance to team members relative to customer requirements, competition and trends in the logistics marketplace through reading industry trade magazines and participating in local industry events and seminars.
    • Enters customer and sales data into sales order processing system.
    • Responsible for maintaining up to date client contact information.
    • Documents problems and communicates/interfaces with departments.

     

    Qualifications of Sales Account Executive:

    • Proven consistent results meeting or exceeding sales targets
    • Knowledge of customer, AGS services and websites
    • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
    • 5+ years of industry-related (logistics, freight-forwarding, LTL, FTL, Intermodal) experience preferred
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization, representing AGS in a professional and confident manner
    • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships via telephone
    • Ability to be agile, remain focused and make smart decisions in a rapidly changing, often ambiguous environment
    • Basic computer literacy (Internet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
    • Ability to travel as needed
